Gary has left the building.

Many of you come to read my blog and to enjoy the wit of Gary and his many aliases on my comment page, but i am sorry to say he is actually doing some work and therefore cannot comment.

He will be back when he finishes work, so in the meantime please enjoy the picture of him.

When I read the title of this post my heart actually sank and I got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach...could it be that in leaving the building Gary would be leaving his computer and never again commenting on a Gohir blog? What would I have to confuse and amuse me of a boring Thursday afternoon?

But, thank goodness! Roll out the barrel and pop the party popppers Gary was only temporarily engaged in "work" (whatever that is, it certainly doesn't exist in this office) and I'm glad to see that his commenting will return at a later date.

In the meantime however many thanks for the picture. Does he always look so moody?

yes laura, i always look moody, granted the mood is accenuated by the strange filter effect on the camera but it's fair to say i have 'issues'. i'll miss you too laura, when the time comes, and come it will. whatever happens keep your chin up babygirl, i'll never forget the time we've shared on the blog. sure there have been bad times but we got through 'em didn't we pet? maybe some day we'll meet in person and we can connect outwith the keyboard and the pixel, but perhaps that would spoil things?
sometimes it's hard to let go of something you've never had...can you understand that laura? remember, you will always be in my heart, and if you're inside my body you'll always be warm, although prone to disease, but that's life in a sense. god, it's so hard to say the right things sometimes, farewell sweet lady, farewell...

I really don't think there's any better way to sum up this whole experience than to draw upon those great social commentators of our time. The 5 women who shaped my youth, gave me strength of character and increased positivity, and provided me with a litany of song lyrics for every occasion....

Listen little child, there will come a day
When you will be able, able to say
Never mind the pain, or the aggravation
You know there's a better way, for you and me to be

Look for the rainbow in every storm
Fly like an angel, heaven sent to me

Goodbye my friend (I know you're gone, you said you're gone,
but I can still feel you here)
It's not the end (gotta keep it strong before the pain
turns into fear)

So glad we made it, time will never change it - no no no

Thanks there to The Spice Girls....they always know the right thing to say, and I'd never be able to sum it up any better than that...

Let's not say goodbye Mr Rochester. Merely Au revoir....
